Woodstock will be celebrating its 50th anniversary with a three-day music festival at the original venue where Woodstock was held all those years ago. The title of this celebration is called the Bethel Woods Music And Culture Festival. The 50th anniversary will be next year, and it has been hinted this new event will have tons of celebrities and performers that will attend the show. This new festival is being thrown by Woodstock’s co-founder Michael Lang. The festival is scheduled for August 16-18th at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, New York.
Not only will there be musical performances from new and upcoming bands but there will also be some Ted Talks from leading futurists and retro-tech experts. Some of the bands that will attend span across multiple genres and decades. The festival’s lineup hasn’t been announced yet but will posted sometime in the near future. Other things to come in the future will be ticket prices and other non-musical performances. It’ll be interesting to see what this festival will be like compared to fifty years ago with new music, new security for concerts, and more.
