Halloween has always been a wicked kind of holiday so it’s no surprise that Broadway chose October 29th to host A Very Wicked Halloween to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of their play Wicked. The show will be on the NBC network and will air at ten/nine central in the evening. The show will have original actresses Idina Menzel and Kirstin Chenoweth, the original Elphaba and Glinda. These two will be singing some of their songs from the show and other guests include Ariana Grande, Pentatonix, the current cast of the show, and more. The occasion will be held at New York's Marquis Theater.
Wicked is a play based off a book about the Wicked Witch of the West who was born with green skin and has some natural talents, has a fiery personality, but is viewed as being different until she befriends the popular blonde witch Glinda. Wicked came out on Broadway back in 2003. Menzel has always been a talented performer and this show helped her to become more well known. She has also played in other Broadway shows, has played in Disney films such as Enchanted and of course gave voice to the famous ice princess Elsa in the movie Frozen. The show will be an exciting event for sure.
