In the competitive beauty world women strive to look their best, and young to defy their age. Much money and time is spent for accomplishing beauty and stagnating age. But there is an underlying question. Is all the energy spent worth it to fight the coming of age or should women age gracefully?
Take for instance the battling of gray hairs. Should we battle with them or let them overpower us and “just be.” Gray hair, for the most part is an indicator of aging, or maturity. The oncoming of gray hair can be very dreadful, which is one of the main reasons that there are so many hair dyes, which can be accommodating with reverting to a youthful appearance as we get older.
Luckily though in the new millennium this is not a dilemma to be preoccupied about because it is now in style. It is even on the market as a dye. There is a lot of versatility as well. The choice is ours to wear gray as a solid color, streaked, an ombre and other various bold colors such as green, pink, blue – any color. Also, various styles look fantastic! The pixie cuts, straight, flipped curls, and curly Afros are just a few styles that enhance gray hair with the coming of age.
Thanks to the revamping of this color all ages can enjoy it, and rock it with a flare creating a new identity of the present forgetting the past as a mark of old age. So, when this natural change of hair color (gray) starts to creep into our follicles there is no need to panic. Instead it is time to embrace it. So let us be gray and beautiful despite the age. The fight is over.
