Summertime+Theme Parks+ New Rides= Best summer vacation ever! Both Disney World and Universal are opening new attractions at their parks. Universal has added a Fast and Furious ride and Disney has created Toy Story Land. The Fast and Furious ride is already open for park goers and Toy Story Land will open this June 30th. If you love more thrill seeking, adrenaline pumping, super crazy rides then Universal is going to be more your speed.
This new ride is called, Fast and Furious: Supercharge. According to the Universal website, the ride has a 3.5 star rating so far, however, this could go up with more people flocking to the park in the summertime. On Fast And Furious: Supercharge, you meet up with the characters Dom, Letty, Hobbs, and the rest of the family. They show you their famous cars and invite you to an after party race until Shaw attacks the bus you’re on. Soon, you’ll be put on a high-speed chase with the crew, but will everyone make it out okay?
Fast pass is available for this ride and you must be at least 40”. The first part of the ride is a walk through and then the next part is a simulation ride much like the Terminator ride or the Star Wars: Star Tours ride. Universal has tons of non-crazy rides and Disney has some thrill rides as well. It all depends on your preference.
Toy Story Land isn’t just a ride it’s a whole new section of the park with a brand new roller coaster named, Slinky Dog Dash. There’s also a ride called, Alien Swirling Saucers, where guests can spin about with the little green men and “The Claw” hanging overhead. The classic arcade like game, Toy Story Mania, is still in this expanded area and it has a newly extended track as well. If you get hungry after having so much toy sized fun, then there’s Woody’s, technically Andy’s, Lunchbox that serves food and old-fashioned soda floats in a concession stand setting. Both places sound amazing to go to this summer and if you have the chance to go, have a fun and safe trip! ‘til next time.
