Gladiator star Russell Crowe has recently tweeted about a charity event that will take place in Rome, Italy on June 6th at the Roman Coliseum. Circus Maximus, a 200 member live orchestra along with Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard will be performing the score from the Gladiator film that came out in 2000. Gladiator; the film is set to be screened at the event as well. There will be two more screenings during the Circus Maximus on June 8th and 9th.
Proceeds from the event will be going to Rotary International and End Polio Now. The orchestra performers are from the Italian Film Orchestra and will be conducted by Californian Justin Freer. Tickets for the event are on sale now with the price range of 45 to 250 euros or around 53 to 293 dollars. The screening on the 6th, however, is the charity screening event which will be held for a smaller audience.
