In just a few more days the L.A. Power Women Summit will be held on November 1st and 2nd. The summit will have over a thousand women from the entertainment, entrepreneurship, media, tech, and sports platforms who will come together to inspire each other and their audience members to follow their passion and dreams in these fields. The summit will be held at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown L.A. On the first day the summit begins at 4 p.m. and on the second day the summit will begin at 6 a.m. This, of course, is Pacific time.
Tickets to the event are on sale on the summit’s website. There are different ticket categories depending on who you want to meet and what career advice you’re interested in. For example, if you’re a young lady entering the business world who wants to learn how to get their leg in the door and begin networking then the best ticket package for you would be the Rising Talent ticket. If you’re already a vet in the industry but are still looking to improve your skills, then you should purchase the VIP Leadership ticket. This summit works with the WrapWomen Foundation who aims to raise a million dollars in the next five years, so they may donate to organizations that benefit the lives of women, both young and old, around the world.
WrapWomen’s goal is to change the face of the entertainment industry and have gender equality with equal representation in both media careers and coverage. They wish to achieve this goal by the year 2020 and have the slogan The Road to 50/50 by 2020. Some of the speakers at this year’s convention include Marvel actress Zoe Saldana, former California senator Barbra Boxer, director and producer Nicole Boxer, founder of the #MeToo movement Tarana Burke, and many more. There’s more information about each speaker on the WrapWomen’s website as is the entire schedule for the event as well. There are meetings, network/mingle parties, dinners, entertainment, and more.
