She This Thursday will be the beginning of a great weekend in the anime world. The 14th annual multi-genre fan convent MomoCon will be happening at the Georgia World Congress Center. MomoCon will be a great place for fans of American and Japanese animation, video games, board and card games, live action role play, comics, and costuming. The building will be buzzing with the many fans, gamers, artist, and voice actors that will be there. The convention will even feature a gaming competition that gives someone the chance to win scholarship money.
The convention will also feature an exhibit of 15+ artist and even a fandom replica car show. The show will also feature a number of panels lead by many voice actors/ actresses, animators, and costumers. One of the panelist will be actress Barbara Goodson. She has been in the industry since 1965 with her best known role being the voice of the empress villian Rita Repulsa in the Power Rangers franchise. She also did a lot of work on many anime shows and cartoons such as Fraggle Rock which premiered on NBC in 1987.
Voice actor, producer, and ADR director Chris Sabat will be apart of a panel as well. He has been in the industry since 1997 and started his career with a voice role on the popular Japanese anime franchise Dragon Ball. His talent was used for the voices of Vegeta, Piccolo, Yamcha and others. Aside from the many shows he did voice overs for, he was also featured in many video games.
Another panelist will be voice of Hercules and Spider-Man, Josh Keaton. Keaton began his career in 1987 as a child star and got cast into shows shuch as Boys Meets World (1994) , Sister Sister (1995), and even General Hospital (1997). He began his voice acting career in 1990 and had success in many cartoon and animated films. Having all these unique and talented individuals in one building is going to be a exciting thing to see.
