One of the great American and Japanese animation conventions, Momocon, began this Tuesday. The four day convention had a great start that included a career fair the same morning. When the convention officially started the line to get in was wrapped around the building with eager attendees. There were many attendees there with amazing costumes and others who had they're equipment ready to make the transformation. Although I wasn't able to get many photos of people in their costumes, One group in particular stood out to me:
There was so much to see, so much to buy, and so much do within the convention. There were artist there selling their work and all the artist were absolutely amazing. They also had a lot of special guest their for autograph signing and a walk of fame available for attendees. One of the guests signing autographs was voice actor, Kyle Herbert. This voice actor has been apart of a number of animated films including Wreck-It-Ralph (2012), Dragon Ball Z (1989-1996), and a few Naruto films.
One of the best parts for me was the fandom car show. I love seeing car models from shows and films, especially from classic films. I had the opportunity to see Bumblebee from the first Transformers film, released in 2007. They also had the jeep from the original Jurassic Park film that was released in 1993. They even had the Ghostbusters (1984) vehicle and the car from the film Back to the Future (1985).
The more I walked around the more great things and talents I found. There was a entire section of the convention dedicated to game playing and included a section for board games and a section for card games. They also had a section that had nothing but game consoles for mini tournaments and arcade games. If you haven't had the chance to get there yesterday or today there's two more days left. It's a great experience for first time goers and it's amazing to those who already know what to expect.
