Hey Everyone, it’s Monday, and it’s time for another round of Netflix reviews!
This week we are going to do things a little differently, instead of a movie we are going to review a TV show. A Series of unfortunate events, to be exact. I know you must be thinking to yourself, but that’s a kid show, why would I be interested in it? Well, the answer is simple, if you were born in the late 90’s or early 2000 this series of books were released just in time for you to hit middle school and take the school by storm. Just me? Hopefully not. Anyway, getting past the age thing, this show has it all from learning new words, to adult humor, to an amazing plot. In the past month, Netflix released season two of their hit series, releasing 10 episodes following books 5-9 in the series the season continues to follow the story of the Baudelaire orphans as they try to escape the clutches of Count Olaf after their parents die in a horrible fire.
Now, if you’re into dark comedy, that’s making light of horrible situations, and dumb people then this is a show for you. I highly recommend it for a nightly watch, and the best thing about it all is you can span it over a couple of nights, even longer if you haven’t seen the first season, then your week nights are in for a real treat. I highly recommend checking it out.
A series of unfortunate events stars: Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Warburton, Malania Weissman, Louis Hynes, and Presley Smith.
