Well FEMM readers, it is not called March Madness for no reason.
There are hundreds of amazing stories that have came out of this tournament so far, but here are a few of my favorites -
Buffalo beat Arizona. The University of Colorado has my heart and is where I go, so I may be a little biased and overly excited here but c'mon, a No. 4 seed getting knocked out is madness. (May I remind you though, they did not just lose, they got trampled 89-68). Anybody have that in their bracket? Me neither.
Game winning shots are always thrilling and Michigan pulled one off wonderfully against Houston. Wolverine Jordan Poole pulled off the shot of his lifetime and won it for his team by making the score 64-63.
In the midst of all the craziness, noteworthy fans are always necessary to mention. Loyola Chicago has made a statement in several ways (beating No. 6 Miami, and No. 3 Tennessee), but they have the greatest fan out there. Loyola got lucky enough to have the 98 year old precious nun, Sister Jean, to be their biggest fan through this whole process.
Two No.1 seeds have failed to make it into the sweet 16 FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2004. No. 1 Xavier falls to Florida State by blowing a double digit lead with less than nine minutes of play left. And the most news, UMBC rolls over Virginia. What is going on?
On Thursday we begin the Sweet 16. I always think that the craziest stories have already taken place. But, March Madness proves me wrong every time. The insanity starts back up on Thursday. Let's see if you guys can find stories that leave you as speechless as these ones did to me.
