Good evening, Femm Readers!! One of the best stories in sports right now is Loyola-Chicago and how much hope they are bringing to Chicago. When reading up on Chicago sports news and talking to my friends from Illinois, this is exactly the breath of fresh air Chicago needed.
The Bulls and the Blackhawks have become incredibly competitive and the fan bases have started rooting for losses. The Bears are spending money in terms of trying to buy hope, and the Cubs have displayed a big display of cockiness since their World Series win.
Loyola on the other hand, has made it fun for Chicagoan's to be fans again. They have played so wonderfully and been so genuine and humble along the way. They obviously have a love for winning, but very evidently have a love for the journey. The Ramblers play textbook basketball.
Smart coaches, smart players, and a willingness to take what comes to them. They don't play like an 11 seed. Now, Loyola is in the final four, and they will continue writing Chicago's new favorite story.
