With the Oscars taking place in two days on March 4th, 2018, you still have time to catch up on some of the films nominated. You don’t want to be one of the people who watch the awards and think to yourself ‘I wish I would have watched that movie before tonight.’ So today, I’d like to discuss another film that has been nominated for best picture. Lady Bird.
Written and Directed by Greta Gerwig, Lady Bird is a coming of age story for a 17-year-old girl Lady Bird McPherson, and the movie prominently showcases her turbulent relationship with her mother. In this film starring Saorise Ronan, Timothee Chalamet, Laurie Metcalf, Tracy Letts, there is plenty of talent to bring this film up to par and relates to what it’s like to be a teenager full of angst with a mom who continues to push and push.
The film is one of a kind, and I recommend this one if you’re looking for a movie that’ll brighten your day, and make you think wow, I’d love to be free as a bird.
