I wanted to share with you guys some big wedding news. The royal wedding is not the only big wedding going down. Despite this one being fictional, another huge wedding event will be taking place on the CBS series finale of the Big Bang Theory when Sheldon and Amy finally get married. The big day is May 10th, just a few days before the royal wedding.
That’s right Big Bang fans the long eight-year relationship between Amy and Sheldon has finally led to their marriage. Amy met Sheldon at the end of season 3 after Howard and Raj put Sheldon’s information on a dating website. Their relationship wasn’t an easy one either. Sheldon being Sheldon isn’t used to change and well, anything with human/social interaction; especially romance. They had their ups and down, but the biggest would be the breakup they had right before Sheldon was going to propose to her for the first time.
They eventually got back together and even moved in together. But the main push for Sheldon to propose to Amy happened in the season 10 finale. Amy had to leave Sheldon while she took a temporary job at Princeton. When one of Sheldon’s co-workers shows a romantic interest in him and kisses him, he quickly leaves and flies all the way to Princeton to pop the question to Amy, leaving her and the audience in shock. For the rest of season eleven, the two begin to plan their wedding.
The wedding is going to be huge with an amazing cast of guest stars. One of the interesting ones will be Sheldon’s brother, George, that we’ve heard about throughout the series and seen on the spin-off show but hadn’t seen until this past episode. George is played by Jerry O’Connell. Other guest stars include Kathy Bates, Lauren Lapkus, the magician Teller, and Mark Hamill. Hamill will probably be playing himself since his co-stars James Earl Jones and Carry Fisher played themselves back in season 7. That’s all for now, ‘til next time.
