It's a new year, which means more movies to look forward to! I mean this year we are looking at what could potentially be a huge load of blockbusters. Jurassic World 2: The Fallen Kingdom, Ready Player One, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity war, Ant-Man, and the Wasp. Just to name a few. However, with all of these movies coming out I want to take a moment to let you know one of the movies I'm most excited about.
With a cast consisting of Jennifer Gardner, Josh Duhamel, Nick Robinson, and Katherine Langford, then add the producers from; The Fault in our Stars, You know it's going to be a great movie from the start.
Love, Simon, Based on the book Simon vs. The Homosapien Agenda, Simon Spier finds out he's not the only gay kid in school thanks to a Tumblr post. However, Simon hasn't told anyone he's gay yet. Therefore under an anonymous email address, he begins an email thread with the creator of the post: Blue. Once his secret gets discovered by a classmate, Simon begins to worry his email relationship with the mysterious Blue will be ruined or worse he will be outed before he is comfortable.
Like many coming out stories, Love, Simon has the internal struggle that every LGBT teenager faces when trying to contemplate: When is the right time? This story focuses on relationships, family, and how scary, yet rewarding it can be to finally feel comfortable in your own skin.
By the time you see this movie or even finish the book, you'll be saying: I (Love, Simon).
Love, Simon is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 16, 2018.
