Why Is Eating Fun?
Have you all ever thought about why it seems that 99% of Americans are on a diet, or least have been on a diet? Eating is fun! From the simple cracking of Davidson’s jumbo sunflower seeds to the eating a sloppy juicy Big Mac that breaks with the meat, bread, and Thousand Island sauce all in your hand while you do your best to slurp it all up with satisfaction is what eating is all about! Fun, exciting, and tasty!
Besides eating with pleasure with the great array of foods, we eat for many reasons such as:
The most sensible reason that we eat is to live; however when we do so, sometimes the taste of good food can be very deceptive encouraging us to eat more and more. Then, we forget the reason why we are eating is to live, and not living to eat, which many of fall in the trap of doing. Though we may eat outside of a basic meal that is okay.
Eating is actually something we should be grateful for, especially if we are blessed to have daily meals. We may not think about this as a factor when are attending buffets, happy hour or dinner. Food is a source that helps keep us alive in health, unity and life itself. It can almost be said that it brings mankind together similar to harmonized universal music. We cannot live without it.
What Should We Watch When We Eat?
Overeating, or obesity is a leading cause of death in the United States. Almost 40% of Americans are obese. It contributes to many health risk factors such as diabetes, stroke, and heart disease along with many others. Though this disease is prevalent and dangerous that does not mean that we do not have to omit devouring the Big Mac and resort to the Davidson’s sunflower seeds alone. We can eat in moderation and monitor what we consume.
How Can We Have Fun And Be Healthy?
On one hand, we can eat for enjoyment while on the other hand we must make healthy choices. Embracing a healthy diet is necessary. Proper nutrition can range from a high consumption of fruits and vegetables and an adequate amount of protein along with an intake of plenty of water. Though the mentioned may have an affect on good health, it is not the only way as there fortunately is a sleuth of diets that are beneficial and available. Just look on the Internet, ask a doctor, or someone knowledgeable.
With a variety of nutritional diets that have an enormous choice of tasty food presents opportunity to eat with fun! Yay! Also, remember to exercise.
