Two really big award shows are taking place tomorrow night. In the music world the Grammy’s will be happening and in the film world, the British Academy Television Film Awards or Bafta’s for short will be taking place in London, England. Now the Grammy’s will air at 8 p.m. E.T. tomorrow night on CBS. The show is airing live from the Staples Center in L.A., California. The Grammy’s can be watched on several streaming devices such as Apple TV and others which can be viewed here.
The exciting pre-show will air at 3:30 p.m. E.T. but can only be viewed on Grammy.com. This year’s Grammy host is singer Alicia Keys. Performers for the evening include Keys, Lady Gaga, St. Vincent, Travis Scott, and more. They will also be paying tribute to the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin as well. There are so many wonderful and amazing artists that have been nominated in several different categories. It’ll be exciting to see who wins what and it’ll be interesting to see if Lady Gaga wins any awards due to her fantastic performance in A Star is Born.
Now the other award that is taking place across the pond will be on the channel BBC1. However, instead of airing live it will be edited down for a shorter TV version. According to RadioTimes the ceremony will be broadcasted at 9 p.m. and will run until 11 p.m. The show will take place at the Royal Albert Hall and the award show itself begins at 7 p.m. Americans can view the show on BBC America at 9/8c. This year’s host is British actress Joanna Lumley who’s been in films like Absolutely Fabulous, The Wolf of Wall Street, me before you, and more.
