I was a little hesitant to start The Good Doctor show, which premiered on ABC last fall, but so far I'm enjoying it. Many people may already know about it and may even like it. The show follows a young surgeon name Shaun Murphy (Freddie HIghmore), who happens to have autism and savant syndrome. The story lines that are presented in each episode are all amazing and you really get into some of the stories.
I love me some Freddie Highmore, from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory to Bates Motel. There something about him that just makes him stand out from others. Nicholas Gonzalez also did a great job with his role as Neil Melendez, who was the surgeon in charge of the residents. Antonia Thomas also does great job as Claire Browne, who is one of the few people who actually form a bond with Shaun. I believe the concept of the show is great, and every episode has the ability to impact someone in a different way.
I also believe it's great to incorporate a way to raise awareness of autism and also show those with it that they can do it. It's unknown as of now whether of not the show will be back with a second season, but I would love to see what more they can bring to the table.
