Good morning everyone. Recently I got the chance to go to one of Emeril’s, the tv chef’s, restaurants. The one I went to is located at Grand Blvd. in Sand Destin, Florida; which is about an hour away from my home town. The name of the restaurant is Emeril’s Costal Italian. The décor of the place was very eclectic with its mix of modern and rustic style.
The restaurant had a bar area, a private dining room area for events, a normal dining area, and a bar that overlooked the open kitchen. They even had a gelato display. As for the food, everything is made fresh right in the restaurant with local seafood and vegetables. The menu consists of a small plates section, a soups and salad section, a salumi and cheese section, bruschetta, flatbreads, pasta, large plates, and sides. They even have a small dessert menu, a large wine menu, and a beer/cocktail menu.
I ordered three small plate items, so I could experience different foods they offered without ordering large entrees. Also, it helped to save room for dessert. My Mom was with me as well and she ordered a vegetable flatbread. It was a delicious flatbread pizza with squash, zucchini, mushrooms, and cheese. I ordered a small meatball with mozzarella on top, the rosemary garlic focaccia, and the pizza pocket bread; which I underestimated how big it really was. I mean even our waiter warned us of how filling it was.
The pocket was fresh bread with rosemary and parmesan cheese, the focaccia was a yummy pan bread dish that had grapes to give it a sweet flavor, and the meatball was a small beef ball covered with a marinara sauce and cheese. The best thing we ordered was the dessert. My Mom ordered the banana cream pie parfait and I ordered the tiramisu gelato, but the waiter accidentally brought me the tiramisu parfait. At least I got a free dessert. The gelato was the absolute best with its real whip cream and waffle con covered in powder sugar. So, I would recommend for ya’ll to try this restaurant if you visit the area. That’s all for now. ‘til next time.
