Lots of people love to get their hair dyed different colors. Whether the color is natural or something super cool and fun like blue hair. But sometimes the process can take forever with the tin foil separating each strand and bushing the color on. If this method is boring or takes to long for some then they need to seriously check out this new hair dying trend called drip dying. This new and rising trend of hair coloring was created by hairstylist Taylor Rae.
Drip dying looks a lot more fun than normal dying. The stylist separates different sections of the hair and covers the face and other parts that won’t be dyed yet with a cling-free film. The film also keeps the colors from bleeding into each other. Then the colors that are chosen are just slowly dripped onto your head and no brushes are used to distribute colors. The only brushed used is a wide tooth comb to spread the colors out and after the color sets, any access is washed off.
Once that’s done the hair is dried and the results are beautiful. Stylist Rae thins the hair dye with water to get the right consistency to drip onto the hair. Rae also recommends pairing colors like orange with magenta and teals with purples to get the right color compatibility. Some people do have mixed reactions to this trend but honestly if that’s what makes the person happy then who cares? Don’t knock it ‘til you try. It actually looks like a lot of fun and the pouring method looks like it would feel interesting on the head.
