Hey Femm heads, hope you’re having a good day so far. In this blog post I want to share with you guys the new Disneynature film that will be coming out in theaters this Earth Day. Disney tries to have a new nature documentary come out every Earth Day. Last year it was the film, Born in China, that focused on three Asian animal families raising their young. These families include the golden monkey troop, a mamma snow leopard and her two cubs, and a cute mamma panda with her cub. Dolphins will be the new film this year, it follows the story of one of the younger pod members named Echo.
Echo is basically a silly teenage boy that like to play tricks and have fun but also wants to grow up at the same time. It can be hard to want to grow up when you’re a dolphin. There’s just so many interesting things in the ocean to play with like bubble rings, chasing friends, and messing with other sea creatures. But dolphin society has its rules and expectations like other societies have. The older members of the group aren’t too keen about Echo’s mischievous behavior. They know from experience that every pod member must do their part to take care of the whole group such as hunting for fish, caring for one another, raising the young, and most importantly, battling off sharks!
Will Echo realize that growing up and taking care of your family doesn’t mean he’ll no longer be his silly self? We’ll just have to wait and see when it hit theaters this Earth Day. As always Disney usually teams up with an organization so that opening week proceeds can help raise money for an environmental team. Last year they teamed up with World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) however, they haven’t announced who will receive proceeds from this film yet. Hope you guys liked this post. I’ll catch you for my next one!
