All right my Marvel fans this blog is for you! There’s an awesome new animated feature called Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors. It has the acting talents of Disney Channel star Dove Cameron as Spider-Gwen, Kathreen Khavari as Ms. Marvel, Kamil McFadden as Inferno, Cierra Ramirez as America Chavez, Kim Raver as Captain Marvel, Booboo Stewart as Exile, Milana Vayntrub as Squirrel Girl, and Chloe Bennet will be playing a younger version of her character Daisy/Quake from Marvel tv show, Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D The voice actor Dee Bradley Baker will be providing animal voices for the furry sidekicks Tippy toe, Squirrel Girl’s friend, and the Inhuman’s dog, Lockjaw. You may know him making animal sounds in the old animated series, Avatar the Last Airbender that was on Nickelodeon where he voiced Momo and Appa. This also isn’t Baker’s first role for Marvel since he’s voiced plenty of characters in tv shows and video games throughout the years.
The story will focus on these new and upcoming heroes trying to prove themselves in the Marvel Universe. Secret Warriors is expected to come out sometime during 2018. It’s pretty cool that Bennet is still playing Daisy but unlike her character in the other show, Bennet will be voicing a much younger version of her. This time Daisy will have to team up with her fellow young heroes to face the challenges of not only becoming teens but also threats from the villainous Hala who is voiced by Ming-Na Wen; the voice actress of Disney’s Mulan and who plays Agent Mey in Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D. Can these young heroes prove themselves and be able to stop this new villain? Only time will tell! That’s all that’s been released so far but I’ll be sure to keep my eyes peeled for upcoming news.
