Hey guys and welcome back to my blog. For this evening’s blog post I wanted to share with you guys a cool place you need to visit if you’re into geology, meditation, caves, or even the color purple. The place I’m talking about is Mullumbimby, Australia. It’s home to the biggest amethyst crystal cave in the world. It was created over 120 million years ago in Uruguay, South America.
It was formed from an air bubble that grew in molten lava. The massive amount of heat and pressure combined with the element iron caused millions of the tiny purple crystals to grow. The cave is known as the Enchanted Cave and is approximately 5.5 meters wide. It has a few different chambers or holes you can crawl through and spots big enough to sit in. In fact, you can hold a meditation session inside the cave for eighty dollars and you’re recommended to book a spot in advance.
The Enchanted Cave is also neighbors to the Crystal Castle that has the world’s tallest quartz geode pairs. The castle is surrounded by the Shambhala Gardens and rainforest. It’s has other large crystal formations and is home to the World Peace Stupa that was blessed by the Dalai Lama himself. Sound like an amazing experience? I know I’m definitely adding this place to my bucket list. That’s all for tonight’s blog post. ‘til next time.
