There’s some exciting news for fans of the gaming community. Sony is working on the PlayStation 5 console and it’s expected to come out in 2020. Sony is also working on their PSVR2 system that should come out in 2020 as well. Despite the 2020 release date prediction, nothing has been confirmed yet by the company. A gamer in the community has stated his theories as to when the console will be unveiled and what month it’ll be out.
The gamer posted on Reddit under the name of RuthenicCookie, that the console will be unveiled sometime during this month at a PlayStation Experience event and the console will be released in November of 2020. Which will be 7 years after the PlayStation 4 was released. The Reddit user also reports that the new console comes with a Ryzen 8 core and will cost $500. Other rumors include that the console will be built from scratch and will have a virtual reality support system as well. Another exciting rumor is that the PlayStation 5 could have backward compatibility meaning it can play old games from PlayStation 1-4.
