Are we controlling the many technological devices by the buttons, the apps, the emails that we frequently purchase, or…are they controlling us? Each decade technology advances; it seems to be almost erasing human intelligence. It is somewhat like a harmless epidemic or plague that inundates the minds of many as a mastermind to make us dependent on it. We live to have the newest devices and the features regardless of the price.
With technology’ s creativity and innovativeness that captivates everyone’s attention, it is almost an addiction of the millennium. It is shaping our future, especially with the technological device, the cell phone. Cell phones just about shape our lives from dawn until dusk. We depend on them greatly. They are our wallets, purses, clocks, radios, and even companion when we don’t have anyone to talk to. They are our constant attachment to the hip while difficult to separate from at any given moment.
Over the years with the progression of cell phones we have learned to love, cherish, and admire them while use them excessively. The more that they advance, the more we are drawn to them for entertainment and enjoyment. As the inventions improve rapidly we stand impatiently waiting for the next device to arrive on the shelf such as myself.
Curiosity prompted me to research the future of cell phones. Amazingly I found that the sophistication of computer science is driving advancement to the point where we will no longer need a physical screen to operate. The cell phone can be in clothing, for example. Also, are we so lucky that we will not have worry about charging our phones? Yes, we are! We can look forward to solar energy and kinetic energy to use our phones.
Lastly, amazing flexibility will be used for accommodating the handling of the device. Nokia’s Morph technology will most likely allow the phone to bend in some forms such as a bracelet or to fold and place it in the pocket. These are only a few features, but they are more than simply cool! However, after my research I concluded that the advancement is truly astonishing, but at the same time if cell phones are getting so smart with artificial intelligence, then what is happening to us as humans? Hmm…. I wonder as they orchestrate our daily lives and will do so even more in the future if will we eventually evolve into cell phones.
