The trippy Netflix series, "Black Mirror", is confirmed to have a season 5, however, there is still no release date.
Season 5 is unlikely to disappoint, being that the ratings for season 4 , according to Rotten Tomatoes, were relatively high. I will be keeping a close watch for a release date a planned cast. I'm particularly curious to see if producers will ever bring Daniel Kaluuya back. Since he's had a recent spike in popularity from his performance in Black Panther he is certainly a hot commodity.
Only time will tell if he is to be scooped up again for at least one episode. Kaluuya only starred in one episode to date, "Fifteen Million Merits", which plays one unhealthy attachment to technology and the illusion of a better life.
For those unfamiliar with Black Mirror, it can be interpreted as a series that is meant to make you uncomfortable with using modern technology, or encourage your to not be consumed by it. It forces viewers to face the "what if" tech took over the world and what if tech took over our minds? Episodes are typically a little under an hour long and have no connection to previous or future episodes. It is a collection of short stories so to speak.
Season's 1 - 4 are available to stream on Netflix. Release date on Season 5 has yet to be announce. Watch here.
