How many of you guys remember the blog/interview I did about the Vampire Diaries and the Originals? Well, you might recall that I asked my friend if the cast talked about season 5 at the con. The answer was no, the only thing they discussed was that the actress Candice King would appear on the show as her character, Caroline Forbs. I’m here to tell you that there is now some news about season five. Episode one will be airing on April 20th on the CW Network. The plot for the first episode is still unknown at this time but the title is, Where You Left Your Heart.
The overall plot of the show focuses on the story of the original vampire family of the Mikaelson’s: Klaus, Rebekah, Kol, Elijah, and Klaus’s daughter Hope. Together they live in New Orleans, Louisiana, the town that they helped to build when it was just a port. While they live there they must constantly battle other vampire covens, werewolf packs, witch covens, and warring humans to not only keep their family safe, namely Hope, but to keep rule over the whole town. Let’s not forget the dangers of hybrids and hunters as well. Season four ended with a ritual to get rid of the Hollow that was taking over Hope and her powers. The ritual was completed but Hope’s werewolf mom, Haley, had to keep her far away from the Mikaelson’s to keep each part of their Hollow from consuming Hope once again.
The last we see of each of the siblings is them in various parts of the world and moving on with their lives the best they can. We also see that Hope joins the witch school that is being run by Vampire Diaries’ Alaric and Caroline. The last we see of Klaus is when he sees his brother Elijah playing the piano at a place in France. Before Klaus leaves he gives him a big tip and an acknowledging glance. It’ll be interesting to see what will be brought into season 5. Especially if they keep the characters separated or not. Not to mention if the cunning Klaus has a plan to get his family and beloved daughter back. That’s all for this blog post. ‘til next time.
