In 1986, the video game Rampage was created by Bally Midway game developers. The game allowed players to take control of large monsters as they run a muck in the city. You must survive against the military forces that are sent to stop you and each round isn't complete until the entire city is destroyed. This year this classic game will be adapted into a science fiction monster film directed by Brad Peyton. The film Rampage will be loosely based on the game series but the story line will be a little different.
In the film the story follows primatologist Davis Okoye (Dwayne Johnson) who is the head of an anti-poaching group who are located in Rwanda. Okoye, who seems to keep his distance from most people, forms a bond with an albino gorilla named George. After George undergoes an mysterious genetic experiment the gentle primate ends up growing larger and becomes a raging creature. It is then discovered that George isn't the only creature that has been effected by this genetic experiment. Once the wolf (Ralph) and the crocodile (Lizzie) emerge, the three creatures begin to battle it out for supremacy. As they make their way through North America and destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams up with genetic engineer Kate Caldwell (Naomie Harris) in order to find an antidote.
The movie will be released April 13th and I believe this is a good one to add to your "must see" list. If the movie is anything like the video game was, the action will be at an all time high. It is said that the movie will hit more emotions than the video game and that it will be a little more scary. For those who haven't seen it, here's the official movie trailer, will you be in the theaters on the 13th?
