It’s time for another round of Fun Netflix finds. This week, what I thought would be a psychological thriller thanks to Netflix’s description. However, what I watched was so much better than I could have expected. The movie I’m talking about is: Back Country.
Back Country, (IFC), was written and directed by Adam Macdonald and stars, Jeff Roop, Missy Peregrym (Stick it) and Nicholas Campbell.
The story focuses on a couple going out into the wilderness where beautiful sites and the wild animals await.
When arriving to the state park, the park ranger informs the couple of the black Forrest closure as there have been vigilance happen up there and they are tired of people ruining the land. Well, once the couple comes across a stranger in the woods, he kind of pushes them towards, the closed trail. Well, like any movie that takes place in the woods, the couple gets lost. Uh-oh.
What awaits, is not sketchy stranger waiting at the top, but the wild, and the food chain begins to change.
I highly recommend catching this film while it’s on Netflix. It’s a wild ride from start to finish, and makes you wonder. When camping, are you ever truly prepared.
